Since launching in 2014, Studio McGee has become one of the most well-known interior design firms in the nation. From a constant track record of pleased clients, to the firm’s new cozy home collection available at Target, Studio McGee is quickly becoming a household name. And now, the husband-and-wife masterminds behind the magic, Syd and Shea McGee, are coming to Netflix with their own show. Enter Dream Home Makeover!
Netflix released the trailer today for the new original series and already we’re obsessed. Dream Home Makeover will follow Syd and Shea McGee’s very busy life together, from running Studio McGee (as well as their sister home goods brand McGee & Co.) to parenting their two daughters. Not only will viewers at home get the inside scoop on who the McGee family really is (a super talented and fun-loving crew), but they’ll also get to witness some stunning home transformations.
During each 30-minute episode, Syd and Shea tackle a project that will range from budget-friendly to over-the-top luxury. “Whether our clients have $2,000,000 or $20,000, I want them all to feel that sense of peace when they walk in the door,” Shea says in the trailer. Throughout the six-episode series, viewers should be able to takeaway tips that can be applied in their own homes.
You can stream Dream House Makeover on Netflix starting October 16! Fingers crossed that Shea also shares social media strategy tips during the series. After all, the McGees rise to success all started after Shea posted photos of her home that she designed to Instagram.
